CCF Tasmania Welcomes Funding for Rail Line Revitalization

The Tasmanian State Government has announced that this weekend it will be releasing the Request for Tender for the largest works of the current Tasmanian Freight Rail Revitalisation Program.

Funding of the program over the next four years will total almost $120 million.

“It is excellent to see the Australian and Tasmanian Governments’ ongoing commitment to upgrading Tasmania’s rail network” said Tanya Denison, Chief Executive Officer of CCF Tasmania.

“This is a welcome example of long term planning into infrastructure investment, that allows Tasmanian civil contractors to invest in their businesses, so they are equipped to construct quality infrastructure for Tasmania’s future. Tasmania’s Civil Contracting industry looks forward to the government fulfilling its commitments to investing in improving Tasmania’s infrastructure”, Ms Denison continued.
