CEO Congratulates CCF Members Awarded Major Road Construction and Maintenance Contracts

With the first major road construction and maintenance tenders for the season awarded, CCF Tasmania is pleased to advise that 5 of the first 7 contracts, representing 94% of the total $33.1 million contract value awarded to date, have been awarded to civil contracting businesses who are members of CCF Tasmania.

I am very pleased to see our members winning these contracts.

Our members work incredibly hard to provide local job opportunities and source their supplies where possible from Tasmanian companies. The award of this value of work to Tasmanian based businesses has a significant multiplying effect within the Tasmanian economy that our members should be very proud of.

Winning significant tenders across Tasmania is becoming more difficult with the increase in competition from interstate companies. Our members stay at the forefront of quality, systems, safety and technology, which is evidenced by their ability to compete in an increasingly tough market and win.

I would like to congratulate Venarchie, Downer, Andrew Walter Constructions, VEC and Shaw, and I wish our members the very best with their tender submissions for the balance of the contracts scheduled to be announced this season.
