Tasmanian STEM Excellence Awards – Entries close 14th October 2016

Tasmanian’s who have excelled in science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) in 2016 are invited to apply for three new awards:

The Premier’s Tasmanian STEM Researcher of the Year Award 2016 will recognise the achievements of the state’s leading science, technology, engineering and mathematics researchers. The winner will receive a cheque for $10,000.

The Minister’s Tasmanian STEM Innovation of the Year Award 2016 will recognise the achievements of Tasmania’s STEM entrepreneurs for an innovative STEM product, process or service during 2015-16. Finalists will have an excellent opportunity to promote their products, build networks and relationships, and to raise their profile. The winner will receive a cheque for $5,000.

The Tasmanian STEM Teacher of the Year Awards 2016 for Primary and Secondary Teachers will recognise the achievements of Tasmania’s leading science, technology, engineering and mathematics teachers, particularly a commitment to inspiring secondary students to pursue their studies in STEM. Two winners, a primary and a secondary school teacher, will receive cheques for $2,500 each.
