The Roads to Recovery Program supports the maintenance of the nation’s local road infrastructure asset, which facilitates greater access for Australians and improved safety, economic and social outcomes.

From the 2013 to 2014 financial year to the 2021 to 2022 financial year the Australian Government pledged to provide $4.8 billion under the Roads to Recovery Program. The funding is to be distributed to Australia’s local councils, state and territory governments responsible for local roads in the unincorporated areas (where there are no councils) and the Indian Ocean Territories.

The Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Development, determined the following Roads to Recovery List for 2019 under subsection 87(1) of the National Land Transport Act 2014.

The funding period is the period commencing on 1 July 2019 and ending on 30 June 2024 and the List for the state of Tasmania can be found in the attached document.
