CCF Tasmania is seeking input from all members to help us formulate a submission to the State Government as part of the 2020-21 State Budget community consultation process.

As outlined in CCF Tasmania’s response to CommSec’s State of the State Report, continued infrastructure investment is vital to growing our economy – especially with Tasmania’s record population growth set to place roads, bridges and water and sewerage assets under increasing strain over the coming years.

With CCF members at the front-line of infrastructure project delivery, we have an unrivalled understanding of the challenges and opportunities that exist within our industry. We also have a unique understanding of the steps Government can take to help ensure Tasmania receives the infrastructure our state needs in a timely and efficient manner.

A submission on behalf of our membership will allow us to have our industry’s collective voice heard by Government, giving us the opportunity to influence positive change.

To ensure any submission is truly representative of our membership, we are seeking input from all members on any issue relevant to our industry.

Some questions you might like to consider include:

What can the State Government do to speed up the release of contracts and projects to the civil construction sector?

What projects, if any, should the Government bring forward?

What else could the Government do to support workforce development and skills and training?

What are the main challenges facing your business over the next 12 months?

How can the Government further reduce red tape?

What else can the Government do to further support the civil construction sector?

If there are any matters or thoughts you would like to see included in our submission, please send them via email to ccftas@ccftas.com.au.
